I do not know as of June 3, 2012 if Horace Bush is related to Horace W. Bush, who served in the Merchant Marines during World War I. 

They may be the same person if he transferred after his enlistment because
Horace Bush is not mentioned as being at Camp Slocum with the other men in the article on April 26, 1918.
